Our 2013 Teen Board

The Teen Board is the foundation of the Boyfriend Bears Organization and essential to our future success. The girls serve in various support areas to contribute their perspective to our mission. Bridget, Daphnee, Holly, Jenah, Kendra, Lauren, and Mckenzie were selected for the first Board of Teens in January of 2012 and feel privileged that they are committed to serve again this year. They are all sophomores in high school.

	Bridget: Hey, I’m Bridget. I am currently a sophomore in high school. I like to play three sports: Soccer, Basketball, and Tennis. In my free time I go on runs, go shopping, cook, and go four-wheeling. But my real passion is God. My favorite verse is Romans 12: 2, “Do not conform, any longer, to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve God’s will is; his good, pleasing, and perfect will.” Boyfriend Bears has really deepened my purity knowledge and my faith. I hope we can encourage YOU in your life of purity.
	Daphnee: My name is Daphnee. My sister chose my name from the movie, Scooby Doo! And, like the character, I too love mysteries and dogs. As for sports, I am a soccer goalie for my high school team and also throw the javelin in track. I enjoy studying God’s word, reading, drawing, and being with family and friends. I am very strong in my Christian beliefs, especially purity. One of my favorite verses is 1 Corinthians 6:18-20, check it out! I am on the Teen Board because I believe it is possible to be a virgin and I want to share that with girls around the world! God loves us and wants the best for us – Ephesians 2:3-5 and 2 Corinthians 11:2-3.
	Holly: Hey, girls! My name is Holly and I am so blessed to be a part of the Boyfriend Bears Teen Board. In my spare time I like to bake, shop, and hang out with friends. I usually like school (okay, I guess I only like the social part) and am involved in as many theater productions as possible. A verse that has really helped me over the past couple years is Philippians 4:6-7, “Do not be anxious about anything but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God and the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Just as Boyfriend Bears has encouraged me in my purity walk, I hope we can do the same for you! :)
	Jenah: Hey, I’m Jenah! I think it’s so cool that God has given us this opportunity to encourage girls in their purity. I’m amazed that even though the other girls and I on the Teen Board are only sophomores in high school, God is already using us in awesome ways. I am blessed to have amazing friends who desire to serve God and obey Him no matter where He leads us. I’m so excited to be involved with this ministry because I love hanging out with younger girls and getting to know them better and I’m also passionate about the message of purity. I’m definitely not perfect, but I hope that I can still be a good example of what it means to choose purity in my own life. We don’t know yet what God’s going to do with Boyfriend Bears but we’re excited to follow His lead because He’s shown us that He is faithful every step of the way!
	Kendra: Hey, my name is Kendra and I’m a sophomore in high school. I play volleyball and run track. I also love to play my violin, snowboard, hang with friends, and read God’s word. I am so honored to be a part of Boyfriend Bears. It has really made an impact on my life. I now start to think about what I wear and how I act in front of certain people. I am so very excited that God led me to this opportunity because I not only get to teach girls about the meaning of purity but I also get to learn new things along the way. I am so excited to see where God takes us and our organization!
	Lauren: Hey, my name is Lauren and I am also a sophomore in High School. I participate in volleyball, fast pitch, and musicals at my school. In my additional free time I enjoy running, four-wheeling, skiing, and being with my awesome friends! This past summer I went on a mission trip to Guadalajara, Mexico and it was an absolute life changing experience. That trip really took my relationship with God to the next level. I’m so excited to see how He will use me in the future and I believe that Boyfriend Bears is a part of that future. God Bless!
	McKenzie: Hey! I’m McKenzie. I’m so glad that you have taken an interest in Boyfriend Bears. I think I should probably tell you about myself – I love my family and my friends. They are amazing people and I love to spend time with them. I could talk about them all for hours but unfortunately, I don’t have enough room here to do that. I absolutely love to write, run, and draw. Reading is also pretty cool. If I could live anywhere it would be in a cottage by the ocean. My favorite number is eight. But the most important thing in my life is my relationship with God. I have learned so much about God and myself over the past couple of years. God has definitely led me to Boyfriend Bears for a reason. Purity is so very, very important. My hope is that I can share the amazing truths God has taught me with other girls. All of us have a choice. A choice to lead lives that are pleasing to God. Purity is a very important part of that.
